Why I Stopped Using Canva to Create My Social Posts

For a long time, creating social media content meant bouncing between different tools: write the post in one place, open Canva to create the image, resize or adjust the design, download it, then go back and prepare everything for each social platform.
That works, but it can take a lot of time.
In this video, I’m showing you why I stopped using Canva as part of my regular workflow for creating social media posts and images — and what I do instead inside WordPress.
Instead of starting from scratch every time, I use the Social Content Generator I built into My Content Creator Pro Elite.
WORDPRESS CONTENT → AI → SOCIAL POSTS + IMAGES 🚀
The idea is simple:
I can start with a topic or use content I already have on my WordPress website, choose the social platforms I want to create content for, give the AI additional instructions if needed, and generate both the written social content and matching images without leaving WordPress.
In the video, I walk through the actual workflow and show how I create content for:
• Facebook
• X
• Instagram
• LinkedIn
• Pinterest
I also show how I can control things such as the call to action, additional instructions, image instructions, and the overall style of the social content before generating it.
Then the system creates platform-specific social posts and images that I can review, copy, download, or save to my media library.
That is the big reason I changed my workflow.
I don’t want to keep doing this:
Write content → open another tool → design an image → download it → go back to WordPress → repeat for another platform.
I would rather keep the process together.
If I already have an article, topic, or idea inside WordPress, I want to use that content as the starting point and let AI help me create the social posts and images from there.
That can save a lot of repetitive work.
And one piece of content can potentially give me multiple social media posts and multiple images for different platforms.
Instead of asking:
“What should I post today?”
and then:
“What image should I design for it?”
I can start with information I already have and turn it into fresh social content.
As the Owner & Developer of My Content Creator Pro Elite, that is one of the biggest reasons I built the Social Content Generator into the plugin.
I wanted something I could actually use in my own WordPress workflow.

This video is not about saying Canva is a bad tool.
Canva can be useful for many kinds of design work.
This is about why I personally stopped depending on Canva for this specific part of my workflow: creating everyday social media posts and images from my WordPress content.
For me, the easier workflow is being able to create the written content and the image together, directly from WordPress, instead of constantly jumping back and forth between different tools.
If you manage a WordPress website, blog, business site, affiliate site, niche site, or content website, this kind of workflow can be especially useful because you may already have a large amount of content sitting on your website.
That existing content can become the starting point for new:
• Facebook posts and images
• X posts and images
• Instagram content and images
• LinkedIn posts and images
• Pinterest content and images
And you don’t necessarily need to create every idea from zero.
The article, topic, tips, lists, questions, examples, and other information you already created can help feed the next piece of social content.
That is what content repurposing is really about — getting more value from the work you already did.
In this tutorial, you’ll see the actual Social Content Generator inside My Content Creator Pro Elite and how I use it to create social media content and images from within WordPress.

If you’re currently using Canva every time you need a social media graphic, watch the video and compare the workflow.
You may decide that creating your social posts and images directly from your WordPress content makes more sense for the way you work too.
